Maya's Dream:
Queen Maya had a wonderful dream one night, so much so that she woke up happier than she had ever been before. She went into the woods and summoned her husband, the King, to meet her. When the King arrived at the woods, the gods spoke to him and told him that a noble child chose him and his wife as his parents. When the King got to his wife, they learned that a son would be born unto them. Great joy would come upon the King and Queen, for their son is favored by the gods. Their son would become a monk, and be adored by many people. Their son would be a Buddha! Afterwards, the queen and king were virtuous and healed the ill and fed the hungry.

When the time came for Siddhartha to be born, Queen Maya ventured into the gardens to give birth. She wandered around and found a special tree. When she touched one of its branches, the child was born and everything and everyone on earth were succumbed to happiness and joy. All the sick were healed, madmen regained reason, the hungry were satisfied, and the wicked were cleansed of all evil.

I know the story of Buddha, but I had not heard of his birth, so I'm happy I got to read these first few stories. This reading makes me think of writing a very happy and uplifting story.
